According to British media reports, the Royal Prosecution Service has confirmed that a 38 year old Filipino crew member on board the "Zaihui" cargo ship is missing and presumed dead. Frank Ferguson, the head of the Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division of the Royal Prosecution Service, said that the Humberside County Police in northern England have been authorized to prosecute the captain of the cargo ship. The Humberside County Police Department said that the 59 year old captain of the cargo ship has been detained by the police and will appear in court on the 15th.

The UK Coast Guard announced on the 10th that the "Steiner Perfect" oil tanker and the "Reunion" container ship collided in the North Sea near East Yorkshire, causing the two ships, each carrying a large amount of aviation kerosene and toxic chemicals, to catch fire.
